Hi.
I recently bought a pot of Eucharis Grandiflora plant. I removed the soil, washed the roots and then brought the plant inside the house, and soaked in water.
After a few days, the clear water turned murky and then smelly. Roots were rotting inside. So, I went out and bought some water gel crystals but leaves still turn yellow and die off (see pic).
I do not want to use soil inside the house. Is there something wrong with the plant or if its not the plant, then is there a better way to overcome the problem?

The problem is that you selected a plant that must have soil in order to grow. If you want to grow a plant in water, then you should choose one that prefers to grow in water, such as in lakes and ponds. You can usually find them at stores that sell aquarium and pond supplies. Another choice might be the Dracaena that is commonly sold under the name of Lucky Bamboo. It likes to grow in water.
