I am most pleased about seeing your comment on the mixing of national styles in the article. Care to comment on the Chinese elements in your garden? I am only a dabbler in Chinese garden style, but have always found the point of view as somewhere between Western and Japanese gardens; while nature is simulated, some obvious man-made item is always interjected (the Momoyama period reflects this styling, but otherwise Japanese style is far more natural). IMHO...
