Hello- New to the forum. First post. I just got bare root grapes in the mail. They look very health; no concern there. My question is whether it is too early to plant. I live in zone 6, Central Ohio. We will have lows in the 20s over the next 10 days. If it is too early to plant, how to I care for the bare roots in the meantime? Thank you so much for your help!

Don't know about grapes specifically but anytime I have to keep plants alive for a few days without soil, keeping the roots wrapped in wet/damp newspaper works. How were your roots packed for shipping?

If you got your root stock from a reputable nursery, they usually ship bare root plants at the time that you should be planting them. They are usually planted in late winter or early spring in zones 6-9 (March-April) after the last frost. Did your plants come with instructions or were there instructions on the website? The weather has not been normal, so you may have to wait awhile but do keep the roots moist as suggested.
