Water Soluable Fertilizer Measurements

Hi,
I am creating a float tray with rafts like hydroponic system and was wondering when it comes to mixing the nutrient solution should I be using the instructions on the container. It says for indoor plants use 1tsp per gallon of water for indoor plants, the amount of water that can be held in the float tray could be anywhere between 40 to 60 gallons of water (float tray dimensions 4ft x 4ft x 6in(max 6 in will prob fill to about 4 or 5)). Would that mean that I would want to put 40 to 60 tsp of the fertilizer then, I just think that would be a little much and I don't want to waste fertilizer or burn out my plants when they first get put in there

I have done a smaller system before and had okay results but I did not use the 1tsp to 1 gal ratio I used maybe 3-4 tsp to 10 gal in that system

Any advice is appreciated
