Wild Crocus
each day I pass a huge scattering of wild crocuses in bloom, and being greedy I want to uproot some and plant them in my garden but before I do the deed please can someone tell me when the best time for this is to be done? And they do they spread naturally after they have been replanted? Thamnyou!

The best time is after they go dormant again. Put a stick or something in the spot to mark it. Come back after the crocus have disappeared and dig some bulbs. Be sure it is ok with whoever owns the property. Yes over time the clump multiplies. In my yard that just means the clump gets bigger and more tightly packed. So every few years, I did them up and spread them around a bit.
